🎯 Research Experience

Principal Investigator, Dengue Fever Early Warning System

2024/6 - Present
  • Led the development of a cross-disciplinary Dengue Fever early warning system, focusing on the integration of heterogeneous data, including various climate data, Google Trends, and satellite imagery, while leveraging multimodal learning techniques to enhance prediction accuracy.
  • Directed a multidisciplinary team of over 10 members from computer science, biology, and mathematics, and regularly engaged with domain experts to address challenges encountered during model construction.
  • The project outcomes include papers set to be submitted to the IJCNN conference and the journal Epidemics, with plans to provide predictive data to governments through an online platform to support policy-making decisions.

Major Player, Mapping the invasive Spartina alterniflora with improved phenological spectral features and deep learning method

2024/9 - Present
  • The project was initiated by Assistant Professor Xu Shuyang from our university's Environmental Science Department in response to Zhejiang Province's invasive species control plan introduced in 2023. I am responsible for the "Methods" section of the entire project.
  • Developed numerical models based on deep learning and phenological feature analysis to predict and monitor the distribution and dynamic changes of the invasive species Spartina alterniflora in Hangzhou Bay from 1998 to the present.
  • The project outcomes will be published in authoritative remote sensing journals such as Remote Sensing of Environment, providing scientific support for governmental environmental protection policies.
