Suspect in Custody On Saturday, September 7, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Christian Dumas, age 23, in the 400 block of North Chester. The case is active and ongoing and further details will be released at a later date.

Homicide Suspect in Custody On Saturday, September 7, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Luis Villachana, age 44, was arrested in the 300 block of East Euclid Avenue in Shafter by Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
