*Measured* GDP is the important qualification here. Conceptually, production-for-own-consumption *should* go in GDP. This is why it's important that GDP is a measure *of utility* that uses transactions as an observable, not a measure *of transactions*

Standing by this take: Not convinced the Huggingface incident forebodes anything worse than the worst SQL injection attacks, or that OpenAI is any more negligent than Sony here. To be clear, that's very bad and very negligent! Don't have to catastrophize to be serious about it.
