Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil on X: "Twenty-five years ago today, America was attacked.
Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken. Families were shattered. First responders ran toward the fire, not away from it. Passengers on Flight 93 fought back and saved countless others."

Twenty-five years ago today, America was attacked.

We remember the mothers and fathers who never came home. The children who grew up without them. The firefighters, police officers, and everyday heroes who gave everything. The men and women who immediately left to defend our country and made the ultimate sacrifice.
We honor the fallen by living with courage, protecting our communities, and never allowing evil to define us.
To the families still grieving: you are not forgotten. To every first responder who still carries the weight of that day: thank you.
We will never forget!
