School Project
There are many children around the world who have insufficient opportunity to play musical instruments due to an inadequate environment for music education. Therefore, Yamaha is developing School Project around the world with the aim of popularizing activities using music and musical instruments in public education in order to provide more children to play and convey the joy of music and musical instruments.
Sustainable Use of Timber
Otonomori (Forest of Sound) Activities
Recent years have seen a decline in both the volume and quality of timber resources, leading to concerns regarding future sustainability. In order to procure high-quality timber suitable for musical instruments in a sustainable manner, Yamaha has initiated “Otonomori Activities” to create sustainable forest that are integrated with local communities, and is cooperating with governments and academic institutions to develop them both domestically and internationally.
