After guiding the Cincinnati Reds back to the playoffs for the first time in five seasons, manager Terry Francona has been named a finalist for the National League Manager of the Year award.Francona, 66, led Cincinnati to the third NL Wild Card spot in his first season with the Reds. Cincinnati lost the Wild Card Series in two games to the eventual World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.The 2025 season marked Francona’s 24th season as an MLB manager, during which he won his 2,000 career game in July.The Reds’ 83 wins in 2025 were their most since 2013, when they made the playoffs as a wild card team with 90 wins.
