Dorothy (Varnum) Shattuck (1715 - 1756)

Biography

Dorothy Varnum was born on 21 August 1715 in Dracut, Middlesex County, (then) Province of Massachusetts Bay, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Prescott) Varnum.^[1] Dorothy's father died six months before she was born. She married David Shattuck in Groton on 25 February 1735/6.^[2] Dorothy Shattuck died in Pepperell on 23 December 1754 of "canker" at age 41,^[3][4] and was buried in the Walton Cemetery in Pepperell.^[5]
