Hi Dana! No one has posted a comment in awhile and I hope you are still active here.

I am a likely Saltzgeber descendant through half-siblings of Johannes Saltzgeber. I am prob descended from his first wife, Catherine E. Weiser. I see you descend from seconf wife. Both have been part of approved DAR membership applications. I have DNA matches in Ancestry through Johannes (John) 2nd son John Philip (my 4x GGF), his elder brother George, and many from the 2nd wife's children!

Hi Dana. I hope you're well. Interesting about William Golding maybe dying in France. As it happens, I visited the Museum of the Horse in the Château de Saumur back in the 90s! This page seems to have the most information (let me know if you can't see it): https://www.findmypast.co.uk/transcript?id=GBM%2FPOW-GALLIP-NAP%2F40586619

Thanks, Katie, for the lead but it's behind a paywall. I can't see it.  :(

Hello Dana, The Mayflower Project is requesting that you check-in to let us know you are still interested in being a badged member of the Mayflower Project.

Requirements to maintain your status as a badged Mayflower Project Member: (1) The mayflower G2G tag is required to be a member. (2) You must be active on Wikitree within the last year. If you are barely active you may also be removed. (3) You must respond to checkin requests. Note that if you manage one or more Mayflower profiles you will not be asked to checkin.

You may respond by replying to this comment or sending me a private message. Thank you for being a member of WikiTree and the Mayflower Project.

Thank you for the nudge. Yes, I'm still interested.

Re this message:

Tanya, I think it is premature to merge Van_Wormer-142 and Van_Wormer-486. The women have different birth dates. One profile has spouse and children; the other, parents and siblings. Perhaps after more research a better determination could be made.

Seems like a match to me, I just didn't upload the rest (mine)because you have them already.

Mayflower Project Member.

I see your profile doesn’t include a mayflower G2G Tag. See “Followed Tags” above. You should have the tag - mayflower -so you can follow pertinent Mayflower activities on G2G. When you add the tag, please include the names of passengers in whom you are interested. Thank you

How do I create a G2G tag? Also, what is the difference between a Mayflower badge and the Mayflower rectangle on my profile?
Thank you Dana. I just like to puzzle on these kind of things. And I know how bad it feels not finding answers. I just wish I could have been of more help. :)
Dana:

Thank you for your careful consideration and for rejecting the match. I agree with your analysis. Which profile do you think the wife belongs to? Anne Creighton

Hi Dana,

We are 7th cousins. My paternal grandmother was a Landers with Guyton lineage through our shared great grandmother, Margaret Underwood. Glad to meet a new cousin.

Take care, Dana!

Hi Dana,

Here's a link to the Dutch paleography site Paleografie But sometimes even with the help of this it can be hard to decipher, if you need some help just deciphering or finding records start a G2G from the profile and tag dutch_roots, if you add a link to the record or add a copy of the record to the profile and maybe we all together can try to decipher it or find some records  :)

Greets from the Netherlands , Bea

O just noticed you did start a G2G already , that's great, hope it helps !

No worries about VanWormer-33, Dana, that may have been a leader's issue to resolve. Thank you!
