Humphrey Trafford was the son of Humphrey Trafford and Katherine Warburton. He married Anne Assheton, daughter of Sir Ralph Assheton, 2nd Bt. and Mary Vavasour, on 15 August 1701. He also had three sons (who died without issue ) and four daughters.
