Biography
Per Sunderland was the son of Christian Anker Sønderland and Ingrid Cathrine Dørumsgaard.
He was a celebrated Norwegian actor, particularly noted for his stage performances.
He was involved with the Stanislavskij group during the second world war, and made his debut at Studioteateret in 1845.
He was at Det Norske Teateret in 1949, and at Folketeateret from 1952 to 1957.
He was at Nationaltheateret from 1957 and until 1995, barring the 1982/83 season, when he was at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen.
He was made a knight of 1. class of St. Olavs Orden in 1994.
He retired in 1995.
