Ira William Rowles was born on 23 Apr 1873[1] in Knox Township, Clearfield, Pennsylvania, United States, son of Price Alexander Rowles (1833 - 1902) and Sarah Ann Rowles (1841 - 1926).
Ira married Sarah Jane Ogden (1874 - 1945) on 29 Aug 1900 [2]in Kerrmoor, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
Their children were:

Ira died on 19 May 1969[3][4] in Clearfield aged 96. He was buried at Mt Joy Cemetery, Lawrence Township, Clearfield, Pennsylvania, 1873-1969 on stone.

Funeral services for Ira. (Billy) Rowles of 112 S. Fourth St.. Clearfield. will be held at 10:30 a. m. Thursdays in the Bennett Funeral Home in charge of the Rev,. Chalmers Bell. Interment will be made in Mt Joy Cemetery .
Mr. Rowles. 95. died at 4:45 a. m yesterday in the Clearfield Hospital.
Born April 23, 1873. in ClearFeld County. He was as a son of Price and Sara Ann (Rowles) Rowles.
He was a retired railroad and Harbison - Walker Refractories Co. employee and a former member of the Woodland EUB Church.
Surviving are three daughters Mrs. Iva Laird and Mrs. Beulah Pry, of West Decatur and Mrs Florence Litz of Clearfield two sons Allen and Raymond D Clearfield: one brother, Alex. also of Clearfield; 33 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife. Mrs. Jennie Ogden Rowles. one daughter. two stepdaughters. four stepsons, two sisters and six brothers.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight. tomorrow afternoon and evening and until the time of services Thursday
