Research Notes
No evidence found for forename Richner - the marriage entry gives the standard abbreviation for Richard.
Richard was of Elland parish at the time of his marriage and may have continued living there after marriage, but the registers there do not begin until 1559 so baptisms of children would not be known. Daughter Agnes married at Elland so was presumably living there at the time.
No burial found near 1570 at Halifax. There are burials of Richard Rayner at Elland on 20 May 1567[3] and 24 September 1587. Some trees show a burial 31 December 1569 at Birstall, but this is for a Widow Rayner (vidua, Latin) of Liversedge.[4] No forename is given for either her or her husband and there was a separate established Rayner family at Birstall.
