Patsy Ellen Mercer was born in August, 1851 in Tazewell, Virginia, United States, daughter of John Mercer (1817–1902) and Lydia Cassell (1814–>1880).^[1][2]

Patsy (16) married Thomas A. Whitt (18) (born on May 8, 1850 in Wythe, Virginia; son of William Gibson Whitt and Sarah Ann (Lockhart) Whitt) on July 23, 1868 in Tazewell.^[3]

Patsy died on March 25, 1929 in North Tazewell, Tazewell, VA, USA.^[8]

She was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Tazewell, Tazewell, Virginia, USA.^[9]

Patsy Ellen (Mercer) Whitt is my great grandmother on my father's side.^[10]
