George John Legh Esq. (bef. 1768 - 1832)

Biography

George John Legh was born before 2 July 1768 in Warmfield, Yorkshire, England, son of Henry Cornwall Legh and Elizabeth Hopkinson.^[1]

He married on 14 July 1803 at Childwall, Lancashire, Mary Blackburne, daughter of John Ireland Blackburne, MP and Anne Rodbard.^[2] They had children, including

• Anne Elizabeth Legh, born 28 December 1808 at High Legh, Cheshire^[3]
• Richard Cornwall Legh, born 19 June 1818 at High Legh, Cheshire^[4]
• Edmund Cornwall Legh, born 14 October 1821 at High Legh, Cheshire^[5]

He died on 17 March 1832.^[6]
