Biography
Isabel Leigh was the daughter of Robert Leigh of Adlington, Cheshire, England, and his second wife, Isabel, the daughter of Sir William Stanley.[1]
Isabel was the sister of:[1]
- Robert Leigh, died 8 December 2 Henry VI, who married Ellin the daughter of Sir Robert Booth of Dunham;
- Maud who married John Manwaring of Pever;
- Agnes who married Sir Andrew Brereton;
- a child who married Unknown Picott of Chetwind;
- Margaret who married Thomas Mere of Mere;
- Margaret who married William Damport of Bromhall;
Isabel married twice:[1]
- Sir Lawrence Warren of Pointon, the son of John Warren of Pointon and his wife, Isabel, the daughter of Sir John Stanley, and Lawrence and Isabel had children:[2]
- Sir John Warren of Pointon who married Elizabeth the daughter of Sir Thomas Gerard;
- Sir George Holford, the son of Thomas Holford and his wife, Mauld, the daughter of William Bulkley, Justice of Chester, and George and Isabell had children;[3]
- Sir John Holdford who married Margery, the daughter of Ralfe Brereton of Iscoid [Iwid];
- Arthur Holford of Davenham, 2nd son, who married Anne, the daughter of William Bostock of Bostock;
