Sarah Emma Leggett (1849 - 1930)

Biography

Sarah Emma Leggett was the daughter of Joshua A. Leggett Sr. and Jane Jean Guthrie. Sarah married Horace Greeley Riker at her parents home on Feb. 17, 1876 in Beaver Dam, Tuscarawas Co., OH. Sarah and Horace lived in Dennison, Tuscarawas Co., OH for about two years then they moved to the Riker homestead on the plains, five miles east of New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas Co., OH where they lived the rest of their lives. They had three children: Sarah Ellen, George Gifford and Horace Edwin.

She went by the name Emma
