Biography
Was born and grew up in Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada. Lived in Moncton, NB until 2011. Then moved to Ontario to be closer the 3 kids and 1 granddaughter.
Current Focus
Currently working with the 1931 Canada Census. Particularly interested in the entries for the general area around the Memramcook river valley. I was born and grew up in La Hêtrière 12 years after the census was taken.
The families that I encounter are mostly all familiar to me. I will attempt to find or create profiles for each of the entries, if I can verify that the person is not still living. I am aware that it be would preferable to use sources which are freely available. However, getting to those sources can be quite troublesome and require more timeé

How’s it going with your work on the Memramcook parish registers? Thank you for your contributions. I’ve never been to New Brunswick. I see a road trip in my future. Two of my aunts married men of Acadian descent, a Gautreau and an Allain. They raised their families here in Acushnet, MA.
While needing to marry an Allain to a Richard, I have become intrigued with the family of Dosithée Richard and Marguerite Gautreau. Several of the fourteen children migrated to the US. I will try to finish working on the family this week but there are blueberries to pick and grass to cut and exterior home improvements to finish…..

We are third cousins 3x removed via Isabelle Melanson. I just wanted to say hello from the U.S. and let you know you have many cousins in Massachusetts. :) I hope you are doing well!
