He was married to Estelle Hebert on or after 23 Dec 1858 according to the record at the Opelousas Courthouse. His marriage record lists his name as "Jean Pierre."[2]
He passed away 10 Jan 1899 and is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery in Ville Platte, St. Landry, Louisiana, USA according to his headstone which reads "Jean Pierre Landreneau." He shares a memorial with his son Jean Baptiste Landreneau and JB's wife, Marthe Reed Landreneau.[3]
