Research Notes
- USBH Naming Conventions for Slaves: LNAB based on the first slave owner. Current last name based on most recent slave owner. In Other Last Names list all other slave owners.
- After reviewing numerous slave appraisals and sales I learned that the young and old were sold for a lesser price; females less than males. On the transfer image Mariah was described as a woman. Based on this, and the selling price I estimated she was around 50 years old at this transfer date. Death date is set for after the transfer record. Everything can be modified as more records are found.
