Re-Marriage Announcement
Wednesday, September 7, 1977; Oakland Tribune, Oakland, CA GOOD TIDINGS: Frances Lamar Lund and Kenneth Hartley Crandall, a widow and widower from Piedmont who have been close friends for 45 years, were married Monday in the Eastbay home of the bride's daughter, Mary Gage "Gagie" Herman, who happens to be the groom's goddaughter. Also present for the Labor Day nuptials were Gagie's husband, Tom, and the bridal couple's other children and their spouses, the James Lunds and the W.W. Crandalls, the junior Kenneth Crandalls, who were here from Maryland, and the Lamar Lunds, who came from Houston, Tex. All of the Lund and Crandall children have known one another since early childhood, so the wedding was a most happy occasion for all. The former Mrs. Lund is the widow of Gage Lund and Mr. Crandall the widower of Claire Wofford Crandall. Both Mr. Lund and Mr. Crandall were active in Standard Oil of California in Texas, Louisiana and California, and each became a director of the company after moving to California years ago. After a motor trip through British Columbia the newlyweds will be at home on Crocker Avenue in Piedmont.
