MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Rev. Woodie Allison Key, 76, of Monterey will be held tomorrow, January 10, at 2 p.m. in Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Key died suddenly Monday (January 8, 1990) in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was born April 1, 1913 in Overton County and was the son of the late Calvin and Lizzie England Key. Rev. Key was retired from Elm Hill Meat Company and was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. His family includes his wife, Roberta Overstreet Key of Monterey; four daughters, Carolyn Humphries of Lebanon, Cathy Smith of Rickman, Jeanette Greenwood and JoAnn Phy, both of Cookeville; seven sons, Kenneth Key of Cooke- ville, Sam and Paul Key, both of Marietta, Georgia, Robert and Tommy Key, both of Lebanon, Gary and Randall Key, both of Monterey; one half-sister, Ethel Headley of Winter Haven, Florida; two half-brothers, Otis Phillips of Winter Haven and Cleo Phillips of Crossville; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Key's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Homer Funeral Home after 11 a.m. today. Rev. Dailey Norrod and Rev. Eugene McCowan will officiate at the services.
