Hi,

I am trying to connect Adelaide Gail (Sloatman) Zappa maternal ancestors to Portugal. I wonder if you can help with the American sources.

Yesterday I flagged her grand mother's profile (Adelaide (Silva) Williams as unsourced because the information in the source area did not had any useful information, but it was reverted by you. I think that two general entries about US 1930 (1) and 1940 (2) census, and a Hawaii Marriage Certificates/Indexes (1841-1944) (3) - without any concrete information of which record, it's concrete location and without any information about the person should not count as a source.

We need to analise concrete records and information about the person in order to make a reliable connection to someone in Portugal, hope we can colaborate in these profiles.

Thanks -- Sn

I was checking my connection to star trek actors and noticed one said it was private. I looked and noticed Jolene Blalock was set to fully private. I was just wondering why it was fully private when most public figures are not set that way.

Hi Jessica, I saw a couple of comments you had posted a while back about Tessa https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Thompson-64526 Have you already added family to WT for her that we need to attach or were you just wanting to work on her family at the time? Best, Emma

I am following up as I have not heard from you in response to my trusted list and private messages sent to you. I saw that right after I created a profile for José Arrastia - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Arrastia-1, you added a connection which resolves a connections.

I have also created a profile for Anna Kournikova and request being added as requested so that I can connect her profile.

Perhaps the Wikitree messages are in your spam folder? Since you are not receiving messages from Wikitree, you can also send a private Wikitree message to me on my Wikitree profile.

Update - Preysler Arrastía-1 is eligible to be partially opened as a living notable and I ask that you follow the steps to complete that process. If you need assistance, I sent a trusted list request and am happy to assist.

Hi Jessica. Thanks for adding a mother for Pattison-1557. We know Muriel's date of birth from the 1939 Register and her death registration, so I checked the GRO birth index and there were a couple of options for Muriel Pattisons born in 1916 - one registered in Pontefract district and one in Watford. But neither had a mother with a maiden name of Dibnah. I also couldn't find a Pattison/Dibnah marriage between 1880 and 1916.

Are there any sources which would confirm who Muriel's parents were?

Thanks! Katie

Update: I did some digging around and found that Muriel from Yorkshire was unmarried in 1939 and living with her father, whereas Muriel from Hertfordshire was already married by then and living in Devon.

Katie, you can't find a Pattison/Dibnah marriage because Annie was a Whitaker (widowed from her first husband) when she married Charles in 1909. See:

https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/information.pl?cite=%2FdDxqBGbkUdvmQHh0Xoi2Q&scan=1

You can see the family in the 1921 UK census, which is available from FindMyPast.

PATTISON, Charles, b. 1883 Ripon

PATTISON, Annie, b. 1876 Leeds

PATTISON, Charles Edwin, b. 1902 Leeds

PATTISON, Muriel, b. 1916 Wormersley

Daniel Mcfatter/McFather/McFadden had a sister named Elizabeth Isabella McFadden/McFatter who married Felix G. Harden 10 Mar 1836 in Stewart County, Georgia. She was born about 1820 sometimes listed in South Carolina and sometimes North Carolina. There is also a James J McFadden/McFadder born about 1824 in South Carolina also listed in Randolph County in the 1864 "Census for Re-Organizing the Georgia Militia".

So, Daniel would be the eldest, then Isabella, Margaret and last James J. McFadder/McFadden. The surname is spelled so many different ways it can get confusing. I am working hard on this family now.

Isabella is my 4x Great grandma.

Hello Anthony,

Which Daniel are you referring to? Daniel was a very common name in all the McFatter/McPhatter branches. Are you referring to this Daniel?

Hi Jessica,

I noticed that a while back you connected Mary (Lucy) LeSueur and Arthur LeSueur as spouses. i had put off connecting them because I could not find any actual record, or even indication of a specific date, for their marriage. I take it that you did not find a marriage source either, since you did not add any to the profiles?

Jessuca, thank you so much for adding to Munguía-33. This week she is part of one of our featured profiles (Joan Baez) Gracias!

Hi Jessica - see you added Emma Stumbaugh's marriage date. I do have much of the details of this branch in my tree on ancestry.com it just is too large to easily add to Wiki so appreciate the manual additions. What connect might you have to Emma? Thanks Dorann

Hi Jessica and thank you for contributing on Swedish profiles.

May I ask you that when you add a source like "Anrep, Gabriel. 'Svenska adelns ättar-taflor utgifna: Graufelt från Dal-Mörner af Tuna', 1864." that a page number is also included so others can see the information as well. Thanks!

jessica As to your comment on Isaac Brock 777. Cannot find notes. But all info I get is from Family Search. Census, Birth, Death records. They combine records from different states.

C Jack, FamilySearch trees are not necessarily accurate. Like Ancestry trees, they are user-created, and often not reliable for early generations of a family. Without a primary source (Family Bible, letters, will, deed) I would disconnect Brock-777.

Ms. Key: Most certainly it is her and her family.

This is the preliminary research I am now working on for Wealthy Louise Duvall. She was born on 15 Jan 1841 to Samuel Devaul (Duval) and Nancy Spence, his second wife (see Duval attachment 1 & 3). The spelling of his last name has been used in two versions as I have shown, with Duval (single “L”) being the most prominent. He was reportedly born in France (see Welthey’s attachment) abt. 1794 and died abt. 1883 in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. Nancy Spence history is unclear at this point but seems to have been born abt. 1804 in North Carolina. They were married 11 Aug 1809 (see attachment). They had three girls as follows: Elizabeth Duvall (abt. 1833 - ?); Sabrey A. Duvall (1839 - ?); Wealthy Louise Duvall (15 Jan 1841 Tyrell County, N.C. – 15 Jun 1918 Elizabeth City, N.C.). Samuel’s children of both marriages, all used Duvall! I hope you will use my preliminary research and improve upon it with additional facts and sources materials.

Note the Census for 1810 for Tyrrell County, North Carolina: Name: Samuel Devaul Home in 1810 (City, County, State): Tyrrell, North Carolina Free White Persons - Males - 16 thru 25: 1 Free White Persons - Females - Under 10: 1 Free White Persons - Females - 16 thru 25: 1 Number of Household Members Under 16: 1 Number of Household Members: 3

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for reaching out and mentioning your interest in the Martin Guerre case. It is much appreciated. There are no plans by the France project to add profiles for the protagonists at present. These people date back from the very first days of keeping parish registers in France, and very few from that period survive. In other words, there are no sources other than the books written later about the case and I can't find that their family can be traced, not even the descendance of their son Sanxi. This being a genealogy site, I see limited interest in creating profiles that would remain isolated. I would encourage you to make a free-space project of it, if the subjects is of great interest to you. Thanks again, for your comment.

Valentine Clavering Clovis was born (Chorlton upon Medlock,Lancs) as Valentine Clavering Gerald in 1883 to Nita Gerald (a British Actress) who had little to do with him and his upbringing. He was brought up from birth by a Mrs Herriet Bowerbank along with his elder (half) brother Marcus Julian. He changed his name to reflect his father, Louis Clavering Clovis when he was about 18,although the 1901 census incorrectly transcibes his name as Clous. His father who had been classed as illegitimate for most of his short life, died relatively young (35) in 1894, having been legitimized by his father's (Louis Lucien Bonaparte) marriage in 1891 to his long term partner Clemence Richard . Valentine married Elsie Chowns in 1914, in Grimsby, Lincolnshire and they had 4 sons and 2 daughters

Hi Jessica - TBH, have NO idea why I even manage that profile - I guess I added myself as a manager this summer (probably to do exactly what you said) and then never did? Looks like Jason Crews had made it Cowell in 2014 and then Gillian Wagenaar had added the Longstreet info in 2017, no idea why she didn't change it at the time. Anyway, I got right on that - thanks for the update!
