As we have not heard from you regarding the check-in, I have removed your Profile Improvement Project badge. We're sorry to see you go. If you should change your mind in the future, please let us know.
Thanks!
We recently left a message on your profile to check in with the Profile Improvement Project (PIP). If you would like to continue with the Project, please let us know.
We would like to hear from you with any ideas or suggestions. If you do not wish to participate in the Project, please let us know. If we don’t hear from you within 14 days we will remove you from the Project, but we will welcome you back at any time.
Sincerely,
Debi Hoag and Kay Knight, Co-Leaders, Profile Improvement Project; Robin Shaules, Project Coordinator, Profile Improvement Project
The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing a check-in with project members. Please review the following and respond to let us know that you are content with your current team or if you would like to be more involved.
You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team. The Biography Team works on profiles from their watchlist and other profiles that interest them.
There are currently three participant PIP Teams -- The Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.
Are you happy with the Team you are on? If you are interested in working with a different Team, please let us know.
Kay
It is once again time for our annual Scotland Project check-in. Please respond within the next three weeks to let us know:
•If you would like to continue as a project member
•What team(s) are you a member of and are you happy with your current teams, or do you want to change?
•What sort of activity level do you feel should be required of everyone, in order to maintain their current project membership? (The current requirement is to maintain active membership on at least one project team and make significant improvements to at least one Scottish profile annually)
•Do you have any suggestions for improving the project?
You can respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within the next three weeks we’ll assume your interests have changed or you are no longer able to participate in the Scotland Project at this time, and your badge will be removed. If your circumstances change later you will be welcome to reapply for membership.
On behalf of the Scotland Project, I would like to thank you for your commitment to the project's goals. Every single contribution you make helps improve Scottish profiles!
Tina- Scotland Project Membership Coordinator
Please respond before Sunday, 28th September, to the annual Ireland Project check-in :)
1. Would you like to remain a member of the Ireland Project? 2. If yes, are you happy in your current team(s)? Would you like to join another? 3. And finally, do you have any feedback on the Project's current work or suggestions for our future endeavours?
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. If we don’t hear from you before 28th September, we'll assume that you no longer wish to actively participate in the project, or that you no longer have the time to do so. You will, of course, be welcome to reapply for membership should your circumstances later change.
Thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and to the Ireland Project!
Feargal, on behalf of the Ireland Project Leadership.
Le gach dea-ghuí, Feargal.
Once again it is time for our annual Ireland Project check-in.
1. Would you like to continue as a member of the project?
2. Do you have any suggestions for project priorities in the next year?
3. Do you have any interest in taking a more active role in the project and, if so, what might you be interested in doing?
A response to the check-in is one of the project’s few requirements for all members. Please either post a reply below or send me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume your interests have changed and you no longer have time to participate in the project.
Thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and to the Ireland Project.
Gach beannacht,
Jen, Ireland Project co-leader
Good luck with your recent contacts on the profiles. Maybe you will make connections.

The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing its first annual check-in with our project members. Please review the following and let us know if you are content where we have placed you or would like to be more involved.
We are in the process of transitioning to a team structure. There will be three participant PIP Teams to start -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.
You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team Level 1, working on profiles from your own watchlist, from projects in which you are involved, and whatever else you find. Biography Teams Levels 2 and 3 will work on designated profiles for notables (Level 3) and everyday people (Level 2). Please let us know if you would like to help with a higher-level Bio Team or one of the other Teams. We saw that at one time you were interested in the Unknowns team. Would you like to continue in that team?
You joined the Project before the Voyage started in late 2018. We would like to invite you to consider a "fast track" Voyage, especially if you would like to work at a higher level on the Biography Team. If you’re interested, choose a profile from your own watchlist that you have completed to the best of your ability and compare it to the Voyage Biography Standards. If your profile is at Level 2 or better, include a link to the profile in your response to this check-in for a “fast track” review.
We would also like to invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. If you request to join our GoogleGroup, please be sure to include your Wiki ID. Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.
We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project and WikiTree. The Project’s mission is to:
- Make profiles beautiful! We clean up messy biography sections and sources, and try to set standards for attractive, useful, and well-written biographies, starting with those we manage.
We know you’re working on profiles *smile* We would like to hear about successes you’ve had toward the Project’s goals. We would also appreciate any feedback you might have to help us improve the Project. Please share your thoughts in a reply to this comment or privately via private message to either of us.
Sincerely,
Debi Hoag and Robin Shaules Co-Leaders, Profile Improvement Project
It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:
- If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.
- What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?
- Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?
- Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, Just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely, Jen Hutton, on behalf of the Ireland Project
Not sure if you're still frequenting this site. You added a marriage and death certificate for Andrew Dunbar (N. Ireland). I'm wondering if you have a connection to this family. I believe the person named in the certificates might be the brother of my great-grandfather.

It’s time for a Project check-in!
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.

You added information re Georgina Brines. Is she related to you? She is my grandmother.
As you have offered me some real help with my ancestral page and research, I thought you might be interested in a research project I had completed by a Dr. Tyrone Bowes. It is about the Hawthorne migration from Scotland to Ireland, Co. Down during the plantation of 1610. The report is truly interesting and informative. Now all I have to do is fill in the ancestral information from 1610 to 1800's; only a couple of hundred years! Anyway, thanks for your help in the past, hope you can open and like the file, if no let me know and we can try another way? Cheers Manny P.s. the file is attached to my Wikitree page.

His great-granddaughter, Elizabeth M'crum, re-issued his 'History of Carrickfergus'. She included a bio in which she speculates that SM was an only child (due to lack of death records of siblings). But I wonder, I've seen a news item about an Andrew M'skimin born in Ballyclare within 10 years of him...
On behalf of the Connectors Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. If you are active, please let us know in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Michelle ~ Volunteer Coordinator
We are sorry to lose you as a member of the Worldwide Disasters Project, but we understand that life gets busy and interests shift. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin the project in the future if you wish.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Thanks for offering to help with the Unknowns Project. We really appreciate it. I suggest you check out a couple of pages for information on what we do and how to help Unknowns Project Home Page; Unknowns Project Space Page.

Thank you for taking the time to help me out on this line in my tree. You helped to solve a riddle that had my mothers family stumped for years. Her brother always thought that there was a brother to my grandfather Squires named Hyder. Now I see that Isabella Cockburn married a man whose surname was Hyder! One riddle solved. There must be other Cockburn siblings because of the big gap in birth years that will be the next job! Thanks for all the additional information!
