Jeremiah Jones was a pioneer settler of Brooksville.

- His grave marker is in the Mount Rest Cemetery in Brooksville with several names. It indicates that all are BURIED in Jones Point. There is an Edgar Jones Cemetery on Jones Point Road in Brooksville. According to the Brooksville Historical Society:
- Location: In the trees at 146 Jones Point Road. With your back to the house, follow the tree line, on the left approximately 500 feet look for an apple orchard, with a clearing in the woods on the left side. Gravestones are all flat on the ground.
