Emma J (Green) Rust (1851 - 1934)

Biography

Emma was born on 27 February 1851. ^[1]

In 1855, she was 4 years old and lived in E.D. 1, Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her parents Allen (age 42) and Julia (age 31), and sisters Alice (age 6) and Ann E (age 1). Another child, Hannah Dulman (10 months old) was also living with them. It is unclear what the relationship was with Hannah.^[2]

In 1860, she was 9 years old and lived in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her parents Allen M (age 47) and Julia (age 36), and sisters Alice M (age 11) and Anne E (age 7).^[3]

In 1865, she was 14 years old and lived in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her parents Allen M (age 52) and Julia J (age 42), sisters Alice (age 15) and Anna (age 11), and brothers Burnett (age 3) and Wendall (age 1).^[4]

In 1870, she was 18 years old and lived in Franklinville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her parents Allen and Julia J, sister Ann, brothers Burnett and Perry. Her paternal grandmother, Mary (age 95) was also living with the family. Another male, Hugh Kerr from Ireland was living with them at the time.^[5]

She married Eugene Rust around 1872.^[6]

In 1875, she was 24 years old and lived in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her husband Eurgene (age 24).^[7]

In 1880, she was 29 years old and lived in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her husband E Eugene (age 29) and daughters Florence (age 3) and Grace (age 1). Her occupation was keeping house. Her birthplace was New York. Her father's birthplace was New York. Her mother's birthplace was Massachusetts.^[8]

In 1900, she was 49 years old and lived in Ellicottville Township Ellicottville village, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her husband Eugene E (age 50) and daughter Grace A (age 21). She was married around 1872 (married 28 years).^[6]

In 1910, she was 58 years old and lived in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her husband E Eugene (age 59), daughter Grace (age 31) and son-in-law Niram T Olin (age 34).^[9]

In 1920, she was 68 years old living in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her husband Eugene E (age 69), daughter Grace (age 40), son-in-law Nirum T Olen (age 44) and granddaughter Jennie Olen (age 13).^[10]

In 1930, she was 79 years old living in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States with her husband Eugene A (age 79), daughter Grace (age 50) and son-in-law Nesam T Olin (age 57).^[11]

She passed away on 13 January 1934 in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York, United States of America. She is buried in Sunset Hill Cemetery.^[1]
