Narcissis married 2nd to Dr. Elkins. Court records of Jackson Co, Ark list her as widow of Noah Billings with Sam Garner guardian of children. Rachel Billings and Louisa Jane Elkins listed as Heirs and no doubt that Narcissa was dead when the final settlement was made and the two children represented her share.

Page 107 Samuel GARNER born about 1788, married in South Carolina in 1810, Rachel Pugh, born about 1792, daughter of Willoughby Pugh and Elizabeth Wakefield.
Samuel GARNER served in the War of 1812. Between 1814 and 1826 he moved from somewhere near the Tennessee-Alabama line to Green County, Missouri Territory. Willoughby Pugh and his first wife Elizabeth Wakefield also migrated to Missouri Territory(now Arkansas) and died there. About 1835 Samuel GARNER moved his family to Jackson county, Arkansas where he lived until his death in 1846. Rachel, his wife died in February 1838. He married a second time but the name of this wife is not known. She applied for a pension on his War of 1812 service. Children: 1. Tremanda GARNER, married first ___ Morris, second _____Barnes 2. Elizabeth GARNER, married first Arch Oliver, second Calvin Jackson 3. Sarah GARNER, married Thomas White 4. Narcissi GARNER, married first Noah Billings, second Dr. Elkins 5. Elvira GARNER, married first Isaac Chauncey GARNER, second William Ellington 6. Grisselda GARNER, married Martin Wilkerson 7. William Wakefield GARNER, married Henrietta Humphry 8. Willoughby Sturdy GARNER, married Mary Peppers 9. Robert Craig GARNER, remained in the west , where he had gone in 1849 with his brother William Wakefield GARNER and others in search of gold. One family tradition says he married a full blooded Chippewa Indian; another that he married Alice Josephs in 1868 in British Columbia and that his family lived in Alaska and British Columbia early in the 1900's. He died in the latter place in 1912 and his wife in 1902.
