Hi Katie,

I'm working on the profile for Gaspar (Dias) de Salazar (1559-) and there may be a duplicate profile - Gaspar Muñoz de Salazar (abt.1564-). It depends on if we know that the man born in Spain is the same man that married Luisa Díaz Nieto in Mexico City. I'm doing research now but if I can't find a connection, I think we need to remove all references to Mexico from the Dias-17 profile. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!!

The Ambassadors project has been reorganizing and is looking for those who have a membership at a genealogical society, to help in spreading the word about WikiTree.

We're working on ways to improve how WikiTree connects and interacts with genealogical and local history societies. This is the kind of thing we want to do:

• Liaise with societies: set up your local society with a free-space page and some WikiTree materials as part of a package.
• Use social media to promote what societies are offering on WikiTree.
• Encourage bloggers to blog about societies and the resources available to them on WikiTree.

Are you interested in participating in some way? Do you have some ideas to share?

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Louisiana Families Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Data for kit T5398016 Carolyn (Dyess) Dyess Bales not found on Gedmatch. All others are a stong 14-16 chromosomes match.

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After Adopting Orphans to understand what to do next. I just finished the Unresponsive profile manager process on the Jenkins family and noticed that you adopted all the profiles that I managed to get orphaned. Thank you for taking on the responsibility of sourcing all those profiles.

I notice that you have a 23andMe test result, but not a Gedmatch or Genesis kit number. Your raw 23andme data can be uploaded to Genesis at Gedmatch then we may be able to compare. My DNA was done by GenesForGood which comes back as 23andme format. Both require Genesis for now, but soon all the data bases will be connected.

You know you are always welcome on any of my projects!! If you want to show up as a member add the Category: Greer Name Study with the brackets just like you have for the Dyess project.

There is a puzzle in the Dyess line that was pointed out and I invite you to take a look in case you have ideas to offer. There are two Dyess sons each married to a woman of the same name, but different dates. Everette-14 and Everett-2161. Thanks, Doug

It's not hard to add DNA test information to profiles on WikiTree, just make sure you add the tests to the actual test participant's profile & set the Privacy to ‘Private w/ Public Biography & Family Tree’ to show the tester's part of our tree. For help see  How to DNA on WikiTree
