James Cross was born in Prickwillow, Cambridgeshire, England.

James was born on 3rd August 1902 to Thomas Cross and Eliza Bishop in Prickwillow, Ely, Cambridgeshire, England. ^[1]

In 1911, he was 8 years old and living in Grunty Fen with his parents and siblings. ^[2]

In the 1921 census James (age 12) was the son of Thomas Cross in Grunty Fen, Wilburton, Grunty Fen, Cambridgeshire, England.^[3]

James's marriage to Beatrice Peacock was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1923 in the Ely district.^[4]

He married Edith Constable in 1930 ^[5]

In the 1939 register, James (age 37), General Labourer And Land, was recorded as married at Green End, Stretham, Ely R.D., Cambridgeshire, England.^[6]

He passed away in the final quarter of 1969. ^[7]
