Charbonnel, Louis Eugene LLb Cookshire, Quebec Born Feb. 11,1863 son of Thomas and Lydia (Payan) Charbonnel; parents came from France in 1854; E. Sherbrooke Academy; began practice of law in 1884 at Sherbrooke; removed to Cookshire in 1896 and purchased the Compton County Chronicle which he published until 1907 when he sold out continuing the practice of law in Cookshire since that time; Past Grand Master, I.O.O.F. 1900; Anglican; Independent; married Harriet T. Taylor, Sept 6, 1902; one daughter, Louise, April 21,1904.
Obituary L. E. CHARBONNEL DEAD Cookshire Lawyer Was Educated at Lennoxville (Special to The Gazette.) Cookshire, January 14-There passed away today a well known lawyer in the person of Louis Eugene Charbonnel, of Cookshire, who was born February 11, 1863. His parents came from France, his father being a clergyman. He was educated in Sherbrooke Academy and was a graduate of Bishop's College, Lennoxville.
Mr. Charbonnel began to practice law in 1884 at Sherbrooke, removed to Cookshire in 1896 and purchased the Compton County Chronicle.
