Dorothy was born in 1893. She was the daughter of Frank Brooks (1848–1915) and Bertha Wilhelmina Nahrgany (1850–1945). She passed away in 1988.

She married Frederick Allison Recob in 1911 in Missouri.

Dorothy passed away on Sep 15, 1988 followed with burial at the Topeka Cemetery (Plot: Sec 83) in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas.
