Biography
Sunday August 13, 2017, Jacob Taylor Bolt... our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle and grandson passed away at the Robert Packer Hospital. Jake came in to this world on March 14, 1996 in the Corning Hospital. Jacob was a very special child. He was always full of excitement, wonder, curiosity and love. He grew into the most amazing man filled with generosity and kindness. Loved by many and known by more than he could have ever dreamed he would be when he was small, Jake returned the love people gave to him. Jacob loved being in the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, swim, go for hikes and ride four wheelers. Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Elizabeth Hoppe Jones; paternal grandparents, Richard and Beverly Cashman Bolt. He leaves behind many broken hearts starting with his parents Robert and Rosemary Jones Bolt, and siblings Alan 'Duane' Shelman, Seth Bolt, and Elizabeth Bolt; his aunts and uncles; (paternal) Susan and John Wales, Daniel Bolt, Teresa VanZile, Terry Mac, Kevin Davis; (maternal) Harold and Corinne Burrell, Billy Gene and Carol Hoppe, Roy Jones, Myrtle Jones, Heather Jones, and Howard and Dawn Woodruff; as well as more cousins than one young man could count... or at least it seemed that way. Special childhood friends that became family members: Shannon Horton, Shawna Mader, Brandon Metcalf, Jessa Ward, and Dustin Anderson; a nephew Landon Mader and niece Saphira Anderson. Along with grandparents on his mother's side they 'adopted'; John and Faye DiGabriele Deptuch ; step-grandmother on his father's side, Patricia Mac Bolt. Many friends are left behind with broken hearts as well. Jake loved us all and we loved him. This is a loss that will forever be felt.
