DEATH NOTICE. BOLT.—On July 14, 1936, at his residence, 16 South-lane, Fremantle, John William, dearly beloved husband of Emme Bolt, and loved father of June, Donald, Dawn and Ross; aged 44 years.

OBITUARY. The Late Mr. J. W. BoIt. The late Mr. John William Bolt, of the Loco. Department, W.A. Government Railways Fremantle, and of 16 South-lane, Fremantle, formerly of the 28th Battalion, A..F., died on Tuesday last, and although he had been ill for some time his death was a shock to his many friends. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, when the remains were interred in the Fremantle Cemetery. Pastor K. H. Nelson, of the Four Square Mission, conducted the service at the graveside, assisted by Colonel Bentley.
Mr. Bolt was born at Fremantle, and, after completing his education, spent some years with his relatives in England. On returning to Western Australia he was employed for a time with Messrs. J. and W. Bateman, and then joined the service of the W.A. Government Railways at Fremantle. During the Great War he enlisted with the 28th Battalion, A.LF., and was at the evacuation of Gallipoli. He then saw service in France and was wounded at Pozieres, losing the sight of an eye, and was invalided home. He again joined the staff of the W.A. Government Railways, and remained there until ill health overtook him.
Mr. Bolt was an old member of the St. John Ambulance Corps, Railway Division. Friendly society affairs occupied his attention, and he was a member of the Fremantle Lodge No. 4, LO.O.F. Mr. Bolt possessed a good tenor voice, and was for some time attached to the Masquerader Company of singers. He was of bright and cheerful dis position and popular. A wife and young family of two sons and two daughters are left to mourn their loss.
The chief mourners were Mrs. Bolt, wife; Misses June and Dawn Bolt, daughters; and Master Don Bolt, son; Mr. E. N. Bolt, brother; Mrs J. A. McFarlane, sister; Mrs. M. Read, mother-in-law; Messrs M. and F. Muller, G. Matthews, R. Smith and J. A. McFarlane, brothers-in-law; Mesdames G. Matthews, E. N. Bolt and R. Smith, and Misses E. Muller and B.
