[edit]Wikimedia Commons can generate an Artwork template based on a Wikidata item. The module is documented here.
- Note: for 3-dimensional artworks, use the ArtPhoto template
Technique
[edit]I just checked the source code of c:Module:Wikidata art and p.get_medium function uses both made from material (P186) and fabrication method (P2079) are used. made from material (P186) is translated into inputs of c:template:technique using c:Module:Artwork/Technique LUT, while fabrication method (P2079) is used directly. The fabrication method (P2079) is only used if output based on made from material (P186) returned nothing. --Jarekt (talk) 22:50, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
Commons categories
[edit]" where we have a Wikidata item for a category, and one for the subject of the category, current working consensus is that the category item here should have the sitelink to the Commons category; both items here should have Commons category (P373) set; and the two items should be interlinked via category's main topic (P301) / topic's main category (P910). The latter allows the Wikidata infobox on the Commons category to find and include information from the subject item, even though it is the category item that it is sitelinked to." (17 Jan 2019)
