The lawyer, Felix Kallmann, the commercial director of the DGA, showed outstanding economic foresight and technical un- derstanding in supporting Blau and Remané’s experiments with tungsten. The two men had the advantage of having worked on the development of osmium. As early as 1905, they were able to deliver the first batch of lamps to the Physikalisch-Technische Reichsanstalt for durability tests. (English)
