Possible change to ID

[edit]

Previously these were at https://collections.new.oscars.org/Details/FilmWorks/$1

Now they are found at https://academycollection.org/web/arena/search#/entity/academy/$1

Unfortunately they may have changed the IDs when they launched the new site. Using Casablanca for an example...

Previously: Casablanca (Q132689)1000023

Now: Casablanca (Q132689)W059943

Not sure if there is a way to convert these 526 uses as the old URLs are not resolving. Using the old ID in the new URL gives "Entity with id/oaiId: 1000023 contextId/sourceAlias: ampas does not exist". Chchowmein (talk) 02:17, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

I just noticed the usage instructions: "This value is for the identifier in the URL for a film's record, and not for the ID number starting with "W" given on the page itself. These two numbers are sometimes the same, but not always." So the problem is not a new ID but that the new URL is using, apparently, the second of two existing IDs.
