Have you seen winter? If so, the mountains of the western United States, including those here in Montana, would like to see it return. While locally our highest peaks have held onto their snowpack from earlier in the winter, most elevations below 7000 or so feet have lost quite a bit of the snowpack they gained earlier in the winter. Warmth this week will further erode the snowpack, and while rises on streams are expected, flooding is not currently a major concern. Next week may bring some relief with some cooler and wetter weather.
