The Beach Hazards Statement in effect from 12 AM Thursday has been upgraded to a High Surf Advisory beginning 4 AM Friday through 9 PM Saturday for the Pacific Coast beaches. Breaking waves of 17 to 22 feet with an increased risk for sneaker waves and rip currents will create dangerous shoreline conditions. Remember: stay off of jetties, piers, rocks, and other waterside infrastructure, remain out of the water to avoid hazardous surf, and never turn your back on the ocean!
