16 WAPT wants to recognize the people who are molding Mississippi’s youth into the Magnolia State’s brightest minds. Each month an area educator will be selected as a 16 WAPT Alyce Clarke Nominee.That person will be selected from submissions emailed to our 16 WAPT panel of judges and then profiled on 16 WAPT. At the end of the school year, an Educator of the Year will be selected from the monthly winners. The Alyce Clarke Award is open to any educator, grades k-12, who work in the 16 WAPT viewing area. The nominator may be anyone living in the 16 WAPT viewing area. Self-nominations are not permitted.
