Spotlight on basic education completion and foundational learning: Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe country report

This report on school leadership in Zimbabwe forms part of the third cycle of the Spotlight Series, which examines school leadership as a pivotal factor in strengthening foundational learning. Zimbabwe is one of five focus countries in the 2024–2025 cycle, alongside Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, and Kenya. The findings aim to inform national efforts toward achieving SDG 4.1, universal completion of primary education with foundational literacy and numeracy and align with Zimbabwe’s education reform priorities and the Zimbabwe Early Learning Policy (ZELP).
