Spotlight on basic education completion and foundational learning: Côte d’Ivoire
This report is part of the third cycle of the Spotlight Series, which focuses on the completion of basic education and foundational learning in Africa, with this edition dedicated to school leadership in Côte d’Ivoire. Developed in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and Literacy, it draws on a quantitative school survey, document review, and qualitative interviews with key education stakeholders, including DRENA, IEPP, and CPPP representatives.
The report aims to document the roles and practices of school principals in Côte d’Ivoire, their interactions with education authorities and communities, and the conditions needed to strengthen their contribution to improving foundational learning outcomes.
