  • as necessary if we believe there has been a breach of the Terms of Use or the rights of any third party, or
  • to comply with legal and/or regulatory requirements.

In addition to sharing your data with the partners listed above, we may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in the event of an emergency, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements;
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of UFC, TKO Group, our customers, clients or others;
  • If we believe it to be necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable law, which may include laws outside your country of residence, to respond to requests from public and government authorities, which may include authorities outside your country of residence, to cooperate with law enforcement, or for other legal reasons such as in connection with potential or actual litigation or dispute resolution; and
  • To any other third party not covered in this policy with your prior consent.

PERSONAL INFORMATION NOT COVERED BY THIS POLICY

This Policy does not address or apply to our handling of publicly available information made lawfully available by state or federal governments or other personal information that is subject to an exemption under global privacy laws.

This Policy also does not apply to personal information we collect about job applicants, independent contractors, or current or former full-time, part-time and temporary employees and staff, officers, directors or owners of UFC, and use solely in that context. If you apply for a job through our recruitment site, you should refer to our Careers Page for additional information.

MARKETING AND ADVERTISING

Targeted Advertising

We use your personal information to tailor our marketing and advertising efforts. To do this, we provide your information to third party advertising networks (such as Google DoubleClick) and social media companies (such as Facebook). When we provide data to agencies, ad networks, and other parties for targeted advertising, we do not provide them with your name, financial information, or any sensitive information (such as a government ID or date of birth, if we have collected that). We use online identifiers such as email, cookies, and device identifiers to help us provide targeted advertising to you and others like you. We may also use aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target. We may make use of the personal information we have collected from you to enable us to display advertisements to target audiences.

To opt out of targeted advertising, you may use the following links provided by third parties that manage opt outs for some ad networks:

Email Marketing

You may also be added to our mailing lists for email communications from UFC and our partners, including TKO Group, when you sign up for our mailing lists, purchase a ticket or UFC merchandise, or subscribe to UFC content online. If you provide us with your email address in order to receive communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe links at the bottom of our emails.

SOCIAL SHARING

You may be able to use social sharing features and other integrated tools on the Site such as the Facebook "Like" button. These features and tools may permit you to share actions you take on our Service with other media, and vice versa. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with the public (or a portion of the public), depending on the settings you establish with the service that provides the social sharing feature. Please remember, though, that use of the information you share on social media sites will be governed by the privacy policies of the social media provider, and we are not responsible for how they treat the information.

COOKIES

Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags, scripts, and similar technologies are used by UFC, our affiliates, advertising partners, and third parties who serve content on our Services. For more information, please see our Cookie Notice.

Additionally, we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about the use of the Services and report on activities and trends. This service may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps, and online resources. You can learn about Google’s practices by going to www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/, and opt out of them by downloading the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROLS

We recognize user-initiated opt-out preference signals sent by your web browser, such as the global privacy control (“GPC”), as a valid request to opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information processed on this website (i.e., through cookies and tracking technologies). For more information about GPC and how to implement it on your browser, please visit globalprivacycontrols.org.

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that certain web browsers may also transmit “do-not-track” signals to the websites with which the user communicates. Because there currently is no industry standard concerning what, if anything, websites should do when they receive such signals, we do not alter our practices when the website receives a “do-not-track” signal from a visitor’s browser.

CHILDREN

UFC is committed to protecting the privacy of children who may visit our Services. We do not knowingly collect information from children who are under 13 years old. If you are a parent or guardian of a child who is under 13 years old and using our Services, please contact us at dataprivacy@ufc.com to arrange for the deletion of any personal information we may have collected about the child. Additionally, if you are a parent or guardian of a child who is 13-16 years old and using our Services, please contact us in order to opt in to our continued communications with the child or request the deletion of any personal information we may have collected about the child.

OPTING OUT OF THE SALE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Sometimes we share your data with sponsors, vendors, TKO Group, and third party advertising networks. These transfers, which are used to provide you with certain Services and/or to more effectively provide you with personalized Services (including advertising), can be deemed a sale under some data privacy laws.

You may opt out of the sale of your personal information by submitting a  Do Not Sell My Personal Information request or calling 1-866-983-0571. You will be asked to provide certain information to us in order to exercise this option so we can verify your identity and locate your records with us.

Please note that your decision to opt out of the sale of your personal information may impact the availability and quality of some of the Services provided to you. For example, if you choose to opt out of the sale of your personal information with regard to UFC FIGHT PASS, your account will need to be suspended because that Service relies on certain personal information to function.

PRIVACY INFORMATION FOR CALIFORNIA AND OTHER UNITED STATES RESIDENTS

This section of the Privacy Policy provides additional information for residents of the United States, as required under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”) and any current or future adopted consumer privacy laws that come into effect, collectively referred to as “US Privacy Laws” and applies to personal information, whether collected online or offline. As used in this section of the Privacy Policy, “personal information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular US resident or household.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Various US Privacy Laws provide individuals with certain rights relating to the collection, storage, and processing of their personal information. This section describes your rights under those laws and explains how to exercise those rights. Subject to certain exceptions, individuals have the right to make the following requests:

Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete and direct any service providers that have received that personal information to delete the personal information that we have collected and retained, unless an exemption applies. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable request, we will delete (and, if applicable, direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exemption applies.

Right to Access: You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable request, we will disclose to you:

  • the categories of personal information we collected about you;
  • the categories of sources of personal information we collected about you;
  • our business or commercial purposes for collecting or selling that personal information;
  • the categories of third parties with whom we have disclosed or shared that personal information;
  • the specific pieces of personal information we collected from you;
  • the categories of third parties with whom your personal information has been sold; and
  • the categories of personal information that we have sold (if any).

Right to Opt-out of Sale of Personal Information: As detailed below, you have the right to request that UFC cease the sale of your information to third parties, including the sharing of information for targeted or behavioral advertising.

Right to Correction/Rectification: In certain circumstances, you have the right to request correction of any inaccurate personal information. Upon verifying the validity of a verifiable correction request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct your personal information as directed, taking into account the nature and the purposes of maintaining your personal information.

Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercising of your privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights or impose unreasonable requirements on financial incentives offered to you related to your personal information. We may offer different prices, rates, or quality of goods or services if the difference is reasonably related to the value of your personal information.

Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to request that UFC limit its use of your sensitive personal information (if collected) to only that use which is necessary to provide you with the goods and/or services you requested.

Right Against Automated Decision Making: You have the right to opt-out of certain processes involving automated decision making by a business when the decision-making is based solely on an automated process without human input.

Right to Appeal: If UFC denies your request to exercise any of your rights, or fails to respond within the timeframe outlined below, you have the right to appeal the decision. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days of receipt for residents of Colorado and Connecticut, and within 45 days of receipt for residents of Virginia. We may extend the response period where reasonably necessary and, if we extend the response period, we will inform you of the extension within the applicable time period after our receipt of your appeal. Our response to your appeal will inform you of decisions and actions in response to your appeal, including an explanation of the reasons for the decisions.

If you have concerns about the results of your appeal, you have the right to contact your state’s Attorney General.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the above rights, please follow the instructions below:

If you have an online account with UFC FIGHT PASS, you may also exercise your rights through the menu options available to you in the account settings.

If you are a resident of California, and are not satisfied with the outcome of your request, you may also lodge a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency by visiting  https://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company or by emailing info@cppa.ca.gov

If you have any other request you wish to submit to the UFC Privacy Team, you may email us at dataprivacy@ufc.com.

Verification Process and Required Information

All requests must be verified. Some requests, including receiving a copy of your data or requests made by an agent claiming to be acting on your behalf, are subject to heightened requirements.  If we cannot verify your identity based on the information provided, a request for a copy of your data shall be treated as a request for information and if we cannot verify your identity, a request to delete personal information may be treated as a request to opt-out of the sale of personal information.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. An Authorized Agent must have written documentation of their authority to act on your behalf, such as a Power of Attorney.

PRIVACY INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS IN THE EEA OR UK

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

  • Access and Rectification. You have the right to access and receive a copy of your Personal Data and require us to rectify any incomplete or inaccurate Personal Data.
  • Right to Erasure. You have the right to request that we erase all of your Personal Data where certain legal conditions are met, such as when your Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and we do not need to retain the data information in order to comply with an European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK) legal obligation.
  • You have the right to restrict our processing of your Personal Data under certain circumstances. For example, you can request we restrict our use of your Personal Data if you contest its accuracy, or if the processing of your Personal Data is determined to be unlawful but you do not want it erased.

  • Withdrawal of Consent. To the extent that our processing of your Personal Data is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, for example by sending us an email to dataprivacy@ufc.com in order to opt-out of marketing messages. Withdrawing your consent will not, however, affect the lawfulness of the processing based on your consent before its withdrawal, and will not affect the lawfulness of our continued processing that is based on any other lawful basis for processing your Personal Data.
  • Objection to Processing – Legitimate Interests. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data where we are relying on our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) to justify our processing, if you have grounds to object based on applicable law. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your Personal Data that override your rights and freedoms.
  • Objection to Processing – Marketing. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data at any time, for any reason or no reason, where we are processing your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes.

In your request, please make clear what Personal Data you would like to have rectified, whether you would like to have your Personal Data erased, or otherwise let us know what restrictions you would like to place on our use of your Personal Data. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Data associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a rectification or erasure (e.g., when you make a purchase or enter a promotion, you may not be able to rectify the Personal Data provided until after the completion of such purchase or promotion). There may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed.

How to Exercise Your Rights

THIRD PARTY SERVICES

This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any website or service to which the Services link. STORAGE AND TRANSFER OF INFORMATION

We operate the Services in and from a number of different jurisdictions, but the Site is primarily operated from the United States, which is where your information will likely be stored and processed.
