Hulu‘s long-awaited adaptation of the Murdaugh Murders Podcast is finally here, with new episodes arriving each week.

The series tells the story of Alex Murdaugh’s descent from a prominent lawyer with a vaunted family name to an imprisoned family annihilator. It also covers than just the murder case; like the podcast upon which it’s based, it also delves into the details of the deadly boat crash, others who died in the Murdaughs’ orbit, and more.

So when are new episodes of the show going to air? Here’s a look at what to know about Murdaugh: Death in the Family.

When do Murdaugh: Death in the Family episodes air?

The new series dropped its first three episodes on Hulu on Wednesday, October 15. Going forward, the series will continue to add new episodes weekly on Wednesdays until the finale arrives on November 19.

Who stars in Murdaugh: Death in the Family?

Jason Clarke stars as Alex Murdaugh, the man convicted of murdering his wife and son after his son’s DUI boat crash, which resulted in the death of his friend Mallory Beach and led to a lawsuit and exposed his financial misdeeds, including embezzling funds from his storied family law firm.

Patricia Arquette, meanwhile, stars as his wife, Maggie Murdaugh.

Matney serves as a producer on the show, while Michael D. Fuller and Erin Lee Carr are co-creators.

What else is there to know about the Murdaugh Murders show?

Fuller told The Post and Courier his vision for the series is to echo In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. Meanwhile, Matney assured the focus of the series will be on the victims, saying, “We are more confident than ever that this scripted dramatic series will help shine sunlight on all the corruption that was allowed to fester for decades and continues to mar South Carolina.”

In an interview with TV Insider, Fuller also described the goal of the series as one that illuminates the humanity of the family: “It’s a tragedy, but it’s hopefully one that people will find the level of humanity within this very complex, very complicated family.”
