The Giants Nipped the 49ers 37-36 in the season opener of the NFL Flag Philly (K-2) at Pachella Park.

The game pretty much came down to who had the ball last as both teams moved the ball up and down the field at will.

The 49ers Safir Dabney caught a TD pass from Lucas Coyle put his team up 36-31 in the final minute, but the Giants David Albizu’s 10 yard sweep in the closing seconds put his team up for good.

There were lots of open spaces for both teams to crank out big running plays with seven TD’s going 45 yards or more.

The 49ers speedy Cameron McCloud had three of those long TD runs with teammate Jax Wilson crossing the goal line twice.

The Giants were paced by Shai Wimmer and David Wimmer with two TD’s apiece, while Trey Garbe and Teddy Coyle each reached paydirt once.

In essence, the game was decided by the only successful TD conversion play of the game with the Giants Teddy Coyle scoring the deciding point.

The Giants coach James Garbe was pleased with how his team fought back in the final minute to overcome the lightning quick 49ers, who have plenty of team speed to burn.

Niners coaches Joseph Powell and Sean McCloud’s charges are gonna win a lot of games this season with all their firepower, especially if they have last possession.
