Jigger & Pony

Singapore

Cocktails and camaraderie at Singapore’s star bar

First opened in 2012 on Singapore's Amoy Street, the award-winning Jigger & Pony has become a Lion City cultural landmark. Founders Indra Kantono and Guoyi Gan share a passion for warm, genuine hospitality – a spirit that defines the bar's philosophy. In 2018, it moved to the plush lobby of the Amara Hotel in Tanjong Pagar. While the address was an upgrade, the core remained intact: embracing change, encouraging new friendships and sharing laughs over simple and delicious drinks.

Jigger & Pony's drinks are contemporary yet firmly rooted in the classics, and the bar team is known for its highly conceptual, editorial-style menus or 'menuzines' released annually, which have quickly become collectors' items among patrons. The current Embrace is a 68-page menuzine celebrating people, connections and shared moments, divided into sections that hint at the style of drinks that can be expected. The Embrace Change section invites guests to explore how subtle shifts can create richer experiences. Here, the Red Revival reimagines beetroot with smoky, house-roasted coffee, tequila and strawberry, resulting in a layered and complex drink.

Embrace Tradition celebrates traditions that have shaped global cocktail culture, exploring timeless classics and integrating them flawlessly into the 21st century. Here, the Paloma is rediscovered through more complex flavours by using aged, slightly smoky tequila and a house-made guava and pink grapefruit soda. Served with a peeled grapefruit wedge, guests are invited to pop the fruit for an extra burst of citrus. Jigger & Pony remains at the forefront of innovation and hospitality in Singapore's vibrant cocktail landscape.
