Sir Andy Murray is a former British tennis player who has won two Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon, one at the US Open and two Olympic gold medals. He was coached by his mother, Judy, until he attended the Sánchez-Casal Academy in Barcelona at the age of 15, making his top ten debut on the ATP Tour four years later in 2007. Murray suffered multiple injuries throughout his career and has undergone surgery. He played his 1000th match in June 2024 and retired in the following August after being knocked out of the 2024 Olympic men's doubles quarter-finals alongside Dan Evans.
