Everything you need to do to unlock free custom Chevrolet Corvette in Fortnite and Rocket League
Both titles each have a string of quests required to unlock the special vehicle, but only one needs to be completed to reach your goal
Epic Games is giving out more free stuff as part of its special Summer Road Trip event—this time, Fortnite and Rocket League players have a chance to claim a virtual Chevrolet Corvette.
Summer Road Trip has returned for the second time, and gamers are in a chokehold as they race to complete the necessary requirements for another free licensed in-game vehicle. Epic is offering a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 this time around, a seemingly more exciting reward than last year's Tesla Cybertruck.
Returning players already know the deal: Summer Road Trip extends to both Fortnite and Rocket League, continuing a once long-overdue collaboration that started when cars began to appear in Fortnite.
Both titles each have a string of quests required to unlock the special vehicle, but only one needs to be completed to reach your goal. Both games will have other unlockable rewards respectively, so all the free stuff will require a little bit of grinding in both titles. Most of the items will wind up in the item shop of both Fortnite and Rocket League, except for the Corvette due to its exclusive ZR1 Circuit decal.
Earn the car while the event is ongoing or you'll miss out.
Fortnite path to the Corvette ZR1
The Fortnite road to the Corvette is pretty straightforward. In total, there will be eight quests divided into two groups: four related to engaging in classic modes like Battle Royale, Reload and Festival and four others that give XP for playing in user-created Fortnite Creative and UEFN islands.
Any mode outside the Epic section of Discovery will satisfy that requirement. Don't forget to squad up with your friends, or randoms if you have to, because you won't get any XP if you try to go it solo. The quickest way to rack up XP outside the Epic Games sphere will be to focus on daily quests.
Rocket League path to the Corvette ZR1
Players can earn the Corvette ZR1 quicker in Rocket League and even earn what some gamers think are better rewards. There are just two waves of quests that unlock on different days—the first came July 22 when the event kicked off and the final will become available on July 28.

First set:
- Make 15 saves in online matches
- Make 15 goals and in online matches
- Make 15 assists or clears in online matches
- Play a private match with at least one mutator
Each quest will unlock a different component of the car. For example, the first wave gets you the ZR1 wheels, which will be essential for the next round.
The final wave, which will automatically be unlocked on July 28, requires players to enter online matches with said wheels.
