Taylor Fritz made feelings very clear on girlfriend Morgan Riddle’s tennis content

American tennis star Taylor Fritz has already defended his partner and social media content creator Morgan Riddle as she takes flack for her videos at the US Open

No. 4 seed Taylor Fritz has cruised into the third round of the 2025 US Open with relative ease, dropping only one set against Emilio Nava and Lloyd Harris ahead of his third-round matchup against Jerome Kym.

Fritz's girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, has been loud and proud in the crowd at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, cheering on her 27-year-old partner. Riddle, who boasts over 450,000 followers on Instagram thanks to her short-form "WAG" tennis content, has chronicled the 2025 tournament on social media.

Tennis, long the gentlemanly sport, often hasn't bent the knee to modern "creators." Naturally, Riddle has faced a slew of backlash from the tennis establishment. However, Fritz has already come to her defense.

Speaking at the 2022 BNP Paribas Open, Fritz defended Riddle. "I think what [she does is] awesome for our sport. It got a ton of people looking at it. I think you get your typical older fan who may be upset about it," he said.

"I don't understand how anyone can get upset about it. I'm the one who's a professional tennis player, I'm the one who does this for a living. I 100 percent agree with everything in that video."

Fritz originally married his high school sweetheart, Raquel Pedraza, as a teenager. The pair have a son together (Jordan, now eight), but split in 2019.

He met Riddle on the celebrity dating app Raya in 2020, and the pair have been together since. "Because it was during COVID, no restaurants were open, no bars were open so we ordered sushi," Riddle said in an interview with PEOPLE.

"We went to his place, and I made him watch Midsommar with me, the really messed-up horror movie. Why I chose that as my first introduction to a guy, I don't really know. I think I traumatized him a little bit."

Riddle spoke with Cosmopolitan last week on how she leaned into this influencer lane. "It was never my intent for my content to be like a gateway drug to the sport. It was just fun for me. Taylor and I started dating during COVID, so the only time I was not in loungewear or sweats was when I was going to his matches," she said.

"I really wanted to capitalize on that opportunity and use it as a fun time to dress up and share it with everyone. Within the first six months, I was like, 'Oh, this is actually getting people genuinely interested in the sport.' It’s been a very nice surprise."
