The Los Angeles Dodgers enjoyed a champagne-drenched celebration at Rogers Centre after they made history by winning back-to-back World Series titles on Saturday night
Saturday night saw the Los Angeles Dodgers make history by becoming the first team in two decades to win back-to-back World Series titles after they defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7.
Despite having trailed for the majority of Game 7, the Dodgers fought back to beat Toronto 5-4 at Rogers Centre, spurred on by the performance of World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Heading into the MLB season finale, it was not certain whether Yamamoto would be able to play, given that he threw 96 pitches during Game 6.
However, Yamamoto was on the mound to help Los Angeles defend their 2024 World Series title, making history in the process.
