Josh Allen was reduced to tears over Hailee Steinfeld movie with Michael B Jordan
Hailee Steinfeld's role in Sinners made Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen emotional, as he thought his wife "absolutely killed it" starring alongside Michael B. Jordan
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen admitted that he was emotional after watching his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, in the movie 'Sinners', which premiered earlier this year.
Allen and Steinfeld tied the knot in May 2025, months after he signed a six-year, $330 million contract extension with the Bills and was named NFL MVP for the first time. Allen and Steinfeld keep their relationship relatively private, but have declared their love for each other in several interviews.
Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins believes that Allen has improved as a football player since he met Steinfeld, but the quarterback also supports his wife's career. Allen was extremely proud of Steinfeld for her latest movie role, in which she starred alongside Michael B. Jordan.
In an interview on HBO's 'Hard Knocks' aired in September, Allen discussed Steinfeld's role and reviewed the movie. "Because it combines a lot of different aspects of life," Allen said.
"My wife absolutely kills it, and hopefully, award season coming around, people make the right decision." In a separate interview with NFL Network, Allen admitted that he was emotional at the end of the movie.
"I was just so proud of her," Allen said. "I get emotional thinking about it, but it was a pretty cool experience."
"I'm just there trying to support her, in whatever way that I can," Allen added. "And that was her moment, and I'm so glad she got to shine."
Steinfeld also supports Allen's career and admitted to planning her schedule around the NFL season. Although she prefers to stay out of the spotlight, she has attended nearly every Bills game, home and away, since they started dating in 2023.
In an interview with Variety, Steinfeld said: "What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule. So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is."
Steinfeld ensures that her offseason takes place while Allen plays as she slows down to support her husband. "This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him, and live life," she added. "When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.
"I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever."
Allen and Steinfeld also share a pregame tradition: attending the same restaurant the night before home games. In an interview with Heavy, Allen said, "When I’m staying in Buffalo, typically, my wife and I have a little routine of eating at little Italian spot called Mangia. So we keep it pretty similar, keep it pretty much the same here."
They try new places when they're on the road for away games. "It’s a rotating thing," he said. "I think based on where we play, you know, whether it’s like Door-dashing or Insta-carting or getting food from a local spot… It’s pasta, or some fried rice and chicken, that’s probably my go-to."
