Several years earlier, Corbitt was supposed to be buying a gun for $200, but after getting paid, the other man allegedly left with the defendant's cash and never returned with the weapon, prosecutors say. It comes after the horror final moments of Florida girl, 2, suffocated to death by family's pet python in her cot emerged.

The two later became co-workers at an Amazon warehouse and when Corbitt saw him he confronted the man. The other man refused to fight, saying he didn't want them to lose their jobs.

Between 6.30 and 7am, after finishing their shifts, they left the warehouse. But Corbitt tailed his co-worker who was catching a ride with the victim.

"This defendant shot at another vehicle because of a dispute over money, killing a completely innocent young mother and leaving a precious 4-year-old girl without her mom," stated Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck in a press release. "This defendant absolutely has no respect for the lives or safety of others."

Jermea Lyle, 26, was employed at a nearby retirement community and also worked the night shift.

She was sleeping in the backseat of the car beside her daughter in her car seat when a shot rang out. She woke and said she had been shot.

Lyle was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital by 7:15 am and was soon pronounced dead, according to authorities.

"A singular bullet entered her left back and exited her left chest as her head rested in the lap of her [4-year-old] daughter," the memo described. "The bullet caused injuries to her left lung, heart, and broke her rib."

"The bullet had passed through the trunk, the back seat, [Lyle's] body, and lodged in the back of the driver's seat," the memo continues. "The bullet's flight was less than 2 feet from hitting the car seat where [the little girl] was seated."

Investigators tracked down Corbitt and during an interview, he was reportedly forthcoming about his involvement in the incident.

"Per Defendant, he fired the shot left-handed out of his driver's side window as a warning shot," the memo states. "He indicated that his gun jammed after the first shot."
